FINAL ANIMATION :]
Above you can see my final animation for Print To Pixel. I am really pleased with the outcome and think that the words LIVELY, BOUNCY and UP BEAT are perfectly fitted into this piece.
Part Five Of The Final Animation
The final part of the animation will be the imagery of Hannah and Louise running down the hill, again created on acetate I have coupled this with a cream netting background. This piece will fit in perfectly with the whirring of the song as it picks up. This will then lead into credit..
Part Three & Four Of The Final Animation
Part three will be a repetition of part one..I am going to use the drum beating at this faster paced part, changing the duration to 150%.
Part four can be seen above, I really like the blurred effect that this piece has, this will be continued from the last part with a subtle cross fade.
Part Three Of The Final Animation
Here is the third piece of my animation. It features a mixture of two pieces of footage...The first half will be the acetate images on the tea and coffee background, the second will be the original stop frame footage. The two will be crossed over by lowering the opacity of the two pieces.
Part Two Of The Final Animation
This which has already been seen on my blog is the second part of my final video, I will link the two pieces together with a subtle cross fade. I really like the netting effect behind the imagery, it works really well and flows with the modern feel of the first part of the animation.

Part One Of The Final Animation
This is the video I would like to open my animation as the drum beat in the song is synchronised perfectly with Louise hitting the pan with the whisk. Again I have used the acetate to recreate the image, I like this as a running theme as it gives the separate pieces of the video a sense of continuity.
I really like the quality of the drawn hair when using acetate, it gives a really nice effect.
I have added a green strip of grass to the bottom of image to create another aspect to the piece. It gives the acetate a modern feel due to the clean cut lines of the piece.

Back Tracking
I have decided to post this even though it was made ages ago, it was my first attempt at putting the footage into a sequence, I don't like the fact that it is all digital, and I am pleased I have gone down the hand drawn route...
Because the acetate is see through it gives me the opportunity to create a really nice background. Here I have placed a green piece of card under the acetate that I have cut into the shape of grass blades.
My mess of finished acetate images...
First Set of acetate images, round off towards the camera.
Second set of acetate images, flog leap.
Third set of acetate images, drum beating.
Fourth set of acetate images, hill running.
Background...
Here I have thought of another possible background for my pieces, I'm not too keen on them all together but I think that maybe one on its own would look really effective.

Background Attempt TWO
This is my second attempt using the leap frog footage. Again I have used acetate and drawn on it using a OHP pen. I have used a piece of maroon netting as my background. I really like the effect of this and there is a good chance it will be used in my final piece. I want to go over the drawings to make them darker and more pronounced.
First Background Attempt
Here I have put together my first attempt using the acetate and a background. I created the background using a tea bag for the base and then using a paint brush to apply coffee that I had made into a paste. This needs to be redone if it is going to feature in my final video due to it being scanned from my sketchbook you can see slight bits of text. Although I don't completely hate the fact you can see text, if it was relevant to the animation maybe :)

Right...
Today I am going to start hand drawing the footage that I have collected to see if it has a better quality.
Above I have used simple tracing paper to draw key features of some of the footage. I really like the naive quality to them.
Thinking how I can transform between the round offs etc.
Here I have experimented with drawing the images onto acetate which would usually be used on overhead projectors. I really like the quality of this as it can be layer upon itself to create an interesting effect, the see through quality also allows for a interesting background to be place below the frames, I have experimented with wax and brown paper in the image above.
Below I have created a series of possible backgrounds which could be used as a base behind my acetate...
MAKEUP
OIL PASTELS
COFFEE & TEA

Here I have traced the image of my sister doing a round off towards the camera...I have placed the tracings over different materials at different angles.

Storyboarding Number TWO
Storyboard number two can be seen below, followed by the individual frames again...
No Imagery
No Imagery
I really like this storyboard and think it will be more fitting to the music and time frame allowed.
Having A Look At Storyboarding
Upon deciding my location, and theme I have completed some basic storyboarding to show some initial ideas of how the imagery could fit in with the music.
The image above shows my first attempt at storyboarding, and below you can see the individual drawings of the board.
The frame below will be hand drawn stop motion but for visual reasons its easier to show the photo version...
No Imagery Yet
I like this initial storyboard but I think I am trying to fit too much in a short amount of time.
