My Drive Thru
Stop Motion Workshop
We were put into small groups and asked to make a simple stop motion using a toy. We used I Can Animate to take frame shots of this dinosaur creature moving towards the camera.

Inspiiiiiiration...
Here are a few links to some of my favourite stop frame animations to music from Youtube...
I really like the view point of the video above...the birds eye view is really effective, but must have been really hard for the actors to perform due to being horizontal.
The song that I have been given is The Melting Pot (Coldcut Re-rub) by Boris Gardiner. There isn't that much information that can be found on Boris Gardiner, however I have found a few key facts.

Research
Below I have my initial ideas of what words I could use for my selected 3 required. The song is quite holiday-like and reminds me of fun with friends...

I have also looked into things that the song reminded me of...
Jamaica
Cultural Art like the Aborigines
The Real Housewives of the OC, because of the theme tune...
Getting Back Into It...
Just had a quick play around here with stop motion...
Rayograms
Here are some examples of my rayograms that I completed in the Workshop. I really like the effect, however, I don't think it would work as a appropriate medium in my animation.

Initial Inspiration
Moving image is my favourite way of sharing my work with the audience. I did an animation course at my old college and learnt a lot of interesting ways of creating moving images. My Final Major Project at college was a music video which I created to one of my favourite songs...Rise Against - Audience Of One. Below I have selected some useful videos of my old work to try and gain some inspiration on how I can approach the Print To Pixel brief...
The video above was part of my Final Major Project. Even though the piece is extremely short a lot of time went into creating this...detail to the size of the heart and keeping it central were very difficult. There were 13 images included in this video and the video lasts 2 seconds meaning it ran roughly at 6 frames per second.

The image above, again from my FMP, relates to the lyrics - "I can still remember the words and what the meant As we etched them with our fingers In years of wet cement".
I have created this using collage and at the end I had 6 images in the piece. The piece runs for 3 seconds meaning it is running at 2 fps.
This video was also in my FMP and relates to the lyrics "We ran like vampires from a thousand burning suns".
I created this using my camera, taking a photo every time Mike moved, this creates a jumpy effect to the piece which I really like. This piece is running at a greater fps rate than the previous two videos and lasts for 6seconds.
The video below shows a simple stop motion of my boyfriend moving towards the camera. Every time Matt took a step forwards I captured the image. I really like the eyrie quality of this piece...

In college we did a group project called the Iron Man. The piece is created in a stop motion fashion and also edited in photoshop...Link to youtube below...
